Smoking Returns Policy
WE CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF USED ITEMS, PARTIAL BOXES OF MERCHANDISE, CLOSEOUT ITEMS OR ITEMS MORE THEN 3 MONTHS OLD.
THESE POLICIES ARE TO PROTECT YOUR INTERESTS AS WELL AS OURS!!!.
HBI is #1 in customer service but we must maintain reasonable standards for returned items, as dictated to us by the manufacturers.
As part of our reasonable terms and conditions of doing business together, you agree to notify HBI verbally or in writing about any shipment shortages or invoice overcharges (incorrect prices, incorrect items, etc.) within 2 business days of receipt of the merchandise.
After this time if HBI is notified of any shortage or overcharge it will be at the sole discretion of HBI to accept or deny any claim. We now use a triple check shipping system by which all goods are independently verified 3 times. We do this to protect our customers and to ensure that all orders are as perfect as possible.

Scales Returns Policy
HBI Scales Canada has the lowest prices on precision gram scales in Canada. We do offer price match – Just ask. We only sell and ship within Canada. We are an authorized “Gold Seal”. We offer only My Weigh, Jennings/Jscale, and Proscale brand scales because they have a Warranty Service Centre in Canada, and they offer the best value in the industry.
Just in the last year or so, we have also, by consumer demand, started carrying a very affordable low-cost line of scales from ProScale, who offers fair quality scales at extremely good prices.
All orders are shipped from the manufacturer direct to you. You may rest assured knowing your scale will be in stock, and that it will be shipped to you from a large company. We are located in Calgary, but scales are drop-shipped from the manufacturer in Vancouver, BC. This saves time and money on your purchase. Please select the type of scale you are looking for from the menu at the top of the screen. We stock Pocket scales, Mid-Sized scales, Shipping scales, Baby scales, Pen scales, Triple Beams, Body Fat scales, and more.

General Return Policy
1. WE CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF USED MERCHANDISE OR ANY PARTIAL BOXES OF MERCHANDISE (such as a partial box of blunts, cigars or papers) All returns must be completely full boxes with all of their original packing materials. We are not allowed to issue “Partial box credits”. Any Partial boxes returned cannot be credited.
2. ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF THE DATE OF INVOICE. (These two rules are given to us by the various manufacturers and they do strictly enforce them – sorry).
3. CREDITS WILL BE GIVEN AT THE PRICE PAID FOR THE ITEM OR THE CURRENT SELLING PRICE (WHICHEVER IS LOWER). You authorized HBI to execute and file financing statements describing the goods, and other document that HBI may request to evidence its security interest.
4. QUANTITY DISCOUNTS MAY BE LOST. In order to avoid people buying a large quantity to get a low price and then sending back half of the order because they really only really wanted half, we reserve the right to cancel any quantity discounts and re-bill based on the actual volume kept (we got burned a couple times by this game).
5. ALL CLOSEOUT ITEMS ARE SOLD AS FINAL SALES. We cannot accept returns of any closeout item, they’re closed out – that’s why we sell them so cheap.
6. ALL RETURNS MUST BE PRE-AUTHORIZED. Please speak with your salesperson to get return authorization before sending back any goods. Non-authorized returns may be rejected by our returns manager at his discretion.
7. BY ACCEPTING THIS PURCHASE ORDER, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WHETHER OR NOT OTHER DOCUMENTS OR COMMUNICATIONS.Only an authorised executive of HBI CANADA may change any of these terms and conditions. Failure to enforce any of these terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver.
8. PAYMENT TERMS. Payment terms are net thirty (30) days from the date of this invoice. Any payments not made within thirty (30) days of the date of this invoice shall be subject to a late payment charge of 1.5% per month (compounded) on the unpaid balance of any amount then passed due.
9. TAXES. The purchase price quoted to You is subject to change depending on any new laws, taxes or changes in our costs. You are solely liable for any excises, levies or taxes that current law requires You to collect and remit.
10. WARRANTY. HBI warrants the goods supplied under this invoice (the “goods”) conform to the description stated on the reverse side of this.This warranty is HBI's sole warranty with respect to these goods. All other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed unless an express warranty accompanies a given good. HBI's liability for breach of warranty is limited solely to the replacement of the goods. You must give notice of a warranty claim within thirty (30) days from date of delivery or you waive all warranty claims with respect to those goods. The foregoing your sole remedy and HBI’s sole liability under this warranty.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. HBI’s liability to you, whether in contract, in tort, under any warranty, in negligence or otherwise, shall not exceed in any case the return of the amount of the purchase price you paid and under no circumstances shall HBI be liable for special, indirect or consequential damages. The price stated for the goods are consideration for limiting seller's liability. You agree to bring any action, regardless of form, arising out of the transactions under this invoice within one (1) year after the date of this invoice or you waive your right to bring an action. You also agree HBI will not be liable for (a) penalties or penalty clauses of any description, or (b) indemnification of buyer or others for costs, damages or expenses arising out of or related to the goods.
12. CLAIMS. Your claims for shortages or errors in delivery must be made within five (5) days after the delivery of the goods. Goods are sold subject to the standard manufacturing practices of HBI’s suppliers. Goods purchased based on weight are subject to customary quantity variations recognized by practice in the industry.
13. SHIPMENT. Delivery terms are F.O.B. HBI’s distribution center in Vancouver, Canada. You assume all risk of loss or damage upon HBI’s delivery to the carrier at the point of shipment. Scheduled dates of delivery are determined from the date of HBI’s acceptance, and orders you place and are estimates of approximate dates of delivery, not a guaranty of a particular date of delivery. HBI shall not be liable for any damages caused by failure or delay in shipping the goods described herein, if such failure or delay is due to any war, embargo, riot, fire, flood, accident, mill condition, strike or other labor difficulty, an act of Buyer, an act of God, an act of a governmental authority, transportation shortage or failure, inability to obtain sufficient fuel, labor, materials or manufacturing facilities, or any other cause beyond HBI’s reasonable control.
14. INDEMNIFICATION. In addition to the foregoing, you agree to save and hold HBI harmless from any claims, demands, liabilities, costs, expenses or judgments arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of the negligence or lack of care by You or Your customers, agents, employees or invitees involving the use of the goods HBIs supplied. This indemnification shall include all costs, attorney’s fees and other expenses paid or incurred by or imposed upon HBI in connection with the defense of any such claim.
